Salary Scale: £19,500 to £28,000 pro rata dependent on experience and qualifications

Advocacy In Barnet  Queens Award for Voluntary Service

Advocacy in Barnet is an independent, award-winning charity operating throughout Barnet with a strong track record for establishing new innovative projects across health and social care services.

Advocacy in Barnet’s work supports people over 50 to have their say, communicate their needs and make informed choices in obtaining community or health services in the way they want them through free, impartial and accessible advocacy.

We are looking to increase the number of active volunteers involved as well as further raise the profile of the Charity to engage the community. You will have the ability to motivate and support peoples’ development. We have an excellent training programme for our volunteers and a key aspect of the role will be to ensure that processes, procedures and training are all in place for our volunteers to effectively deliver advocacy. Experience of working in the health, social care or voluntary sector and a good understanding of advocacy would be ideal for applicants.
